In the beginning...
The first stages of the band began back in late 99' to 2000. All originals members of the group went to high school together. The original lineup consisted of Chris James (Acoustic, Vocals) Jay Price (Drums) Chase Leichliter (Acoustic) Charles Grafenstein (Bass) and Mike Beck (Percussion, Keyboards, Back-up vocals). The group went on to win the Bensalem Battle of the Bands and open up for Michelle Branch. After recording a full length album in 2000 they disbanded and went seperate ways.
Chris James continued to play the cover band circuit with the Seven Band over the next 10 years and continued to write and record orignal music while opening up for Tim Reynolds and Jefferson Airplane. Jay Price went on to college for music and began teaching. In early 2008 the two met up once again began playing with song ideas and getting a groove back.
Chris James, Jay Price, and CJ were going into the studio to record a track for the album but were in search for a keyboard player. Joe Stellino was in a jazz group called Retrograde with Jay in college. Joe came to the session and the chemistry was there. The recording session worked and Joe became a fixed member of Fairhill Drive.
The group still actively works seperately in cover bands and other projects while keeping Fairhill Drive a main focus for original ideas.
